Personal Life of Perrie Edwards
Born with oesophageal atresia (affecting alimentary track), and anosmia (loss of ability to detect smells), Edwards had to undergo tonsil removal surgery during the initial years of Little Mix. (She has never let that affect her ability to hit high notes like an absolute stunner).
In 2017 before their Las Vegas show, she had to be taken to the hospital for gastric problems. Living under the spotlight comes with unsolicited scrutiny. Perrie has been quite open about her issues with anxiety and panic attacks.
Her relationship with British singer, Zayn Malik, has been the talk of the town for years. They announced their engagement before separating in 2015, after four years of togetherness.
She then found love in professional English footballer, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in 2016, making their relationship official in 2017. Fast forward to 2021, they brought to the world their son, Axel Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The 2011 X Factor auditions saw four teenage girls with big dreams audition. One of them was Perrie Edwards.
But the cosmos conspired, and she couldn’t go through the first boot camp challenge to the Girl’s category, as the universe had other plans for her.
She, alongside Nelson, was placed in “Faux Pas”. Thirwall and Pinnock were placed in “Orion”. The universe consorted (again! this time for the good though) and nothing good came out of the groups.
The judges decided that these four were too good to let go, and born was “Little Mix” (one of the best decisions to have ever been taken on the show). Formerly named Rhythmix (a name they had to let go of because of legal issues! Anyways Little Mix for the win!), Little Mix, under mentor Tulisa Contostavlos, went on to give spectacular performances.
Perrie had often been pushed forward as the face of the group, but she always made sure her group mates (more sisters) were given an equal opportunity (We stan a humble queen!).
On the 11th of December, 2011 history was made with Little Mix winning The X Factor, making them the first ever band to do so (that too a girl group).
Perrie’s magical journey began from then on with her 3 angel teammates by her side. Little Mix quickly climbed the UK charts and became the most celebrated girl group of their time.
