Jimin’s extraordinary singing and dancing skills are what sets him apart from all the vocalists from other K-pop groups including BTS. Jimin trained for the least amount of time of all BTS members yet he managed to match them without any exceptions.

With such skills, it’s no wonder why Jimin’s released solo songs like Lie, Filter, and Serendipity were such phenomenal hits. Jimin’s countertenor voice always compliments Taehyung’s(V of BTS’) baritone as seen in one of their duet song “Friends” which was released in February 2020.

2014 saw Jimin along with Jungkook work on a song named “Christmas Day” and make a Korean version of  “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber in which Jimin showed his creativity in writing lyrics.

In 2016, Jimin’s “Lie” was released which was a part of BTS’ Wings album,” Lie” was one of the tone-setter songs of the album as it was a bit dark and dramatic. “Serendipity” was a very soft song talking about happiness, and the sweetness of love.

With “Serendipity” and “Lie”, Jimin has set many milestones as the songs did Incredibly well and crossed fifty million streams alone on Spotify. In 2020, these songs of Jimin were also included in the Official Chart Company’s list of the top 20 streamed BTS songs in the UK.

The hit song “We don’t talk anymore” by Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez was covered by Jungkook and Jimin in 2017 as a surprise for ARMY on BTS’  fourth anniversary which got praised by Teen Vogue, Elite Daily, etc.

“Filter” is a charismatic, sexy, catchy, and very fun-loving song released in 2020 who’s lyrics show Jimin’s passionate side to everyone listening to the song, the choreography of the song is also one that vibes Jimin’s style. He pulled off the performance “smooth-ly like butter”.

Jimin’s filter had more than 2.2 million streams on Spotify within 24 hours of release and set a record of being the fastest Korean solo to exceed 20 million streams on Spotify. Filter received a Song of the Year nomination at the Gaon Chart Music Awards.

Jimin’s commendable solo project has to be  “Promise” which he released on BTS’ SoundCloud pages, surpassing the record of one of Drake’s songs.

“Christmas Love” was another incredible solo by Jimin released on December 24, 2020. Earlier this year Jimin along with Wanna One’s Ha Sung-Woon released a heartwarming song named “With You”, which also happens to be Jimin’s first OST.
