She was born in Delhi, the capital of India in 1984. She started her schooling at Delhi Public School (D.P.S), R.K Puram, Delhi. She studied there from 1987 to 2001. She was an all-rounder who performed exceptionally in studies and sports.
When she was 17, she was having talks about the future with her professor like any other normal student. In that conversation, the professor suggested her entrepreneurship. This seeded the dreams of the young Vineeta to be an entrepreneur.
With this inspiration, she studied hard and got into the B.Tech branch of Electrical Engineering of IIT Madras in 2001 and MBA in IIM Ahmedabad in 2005.
She rejected a 1 crore job offer in 2007 to start up her own company and was featured as one of the youngest Indians to reject it in magazines and newspapers in 2007.

Personal Life of Vineeta Singh
Her father Tej Singh worked as a scientist at All India Institute of Medical Science and her mother was a Ph.D. Holder.
She tied knots to her husband Kaushik Mukherjee on December 4th, 2011, and become the mother of two sons Vikrant and Ranveer.
In her personal life, she loves to spend time with her family, travel, run marathons, read books and hang out with friends.
Career of Vineeta Singh
While studying in college, she did her first summer job at Deutsche Bank in 2006 which was for 3 months.
She moved out to Mumbai to start her first business which didn’t work out at that time and lived in rent in a house which doesn’t have any good safety measures.
Around that time she was facing a lot of financial issues and had to work $150 per month to make ends meet. After some time she worked in Quetzal Online Private Limited as a director till 2012.
Her first failure in business has brought her confidence and motivation down for a short time. She started running marathons after that to feel refreshed and gain clarity which made her regain her lost confidence back and start afresh.
She co-founded FAB-BAG in 2012 which is India’s first & largest beauty-subscription company and learned about Indian customers’ need for quality products and planned to open SUGAR.
With her husband Kaushik, she finally founded SUGAR in 2015. SUGAR was India’s first digital cosmetic brand. Her company rose to the level where they had competition against big brands like Lakme, Lotus Herbals, Himalaya who had dominated the Indian fashion market for decades, etc.

She cracked IIT and CAT exams on the first attempt. Not only she is a diligent student but also was a great athlete. During her graduation time, she was felicitated with two gold medals and two silver medals in the Badminton Tournament.

Besides being an entrepreneur, her dedication to sports never faded. She competed and won medals in the Ups and Downs (89 km), Comrades Back-to-Back (89 km), and South Africa’s highest Ultra-Marathon in 2012 and 2013 organized by The Comrades Marathon.

Forbes awarded her being one of India’s most powerful women list in 2021. She had given a TEDx Talk at Pune in 2018 on “How to Turn Your Fears into Wins”. Her TEDx talk inspired young girls to start taking baby steps towards their dream by overcoming their fears.
She ranked in the Top 100 Mindful Women in the World and featured in Business Today magazines.
In December 2021, Vineeta assisted as a judge on Shark Tank India Season 1. The reality television show focused on bringing a new business idea to light and the founder with getting funds from a group of selected investors.
