Personal Life of Anurag Kashyap
Anurag maintains a close link with his family which includes his siblings and his extended family as well. He got married to Aarti Bajaj, who was a film editor in the 1990s.
They have a daughter named Aaliyah Kashyap together. Due to personal reasons, they parted ways and had an amicable divorce in 2009.
He went ahead to marry Kalki Koechlin in around 2010. However, they took a break in 2013 and parted ways in 2015.
Career of Anurag Kashyap
Anurag Kashyap never wanted to be a part of the movie fraternity. The Italian movie Bicycle Thieves inspired him to take the profession that he currently describes as his inner calling.
Thanks to the movie, because without it we surely would have lost one of the important assets and visionaries of the movie industry.
There were a series of mishappenings that clouded Anurag’s career ever since he began. Be it the death of the director of his first-ever theatre experience which caused his debut to go on a hiatus to his script getting scrapped.
However tough days don’t last long, but tough people certainly do. Soon he wrote the script for a few episodes of the show Kabhie Kabhie. His career kick-started when he wrote a script for the movie Satya which went on to become one of the highest-grossing and loved movies of all time.
From then on he wrote the scripts for movies like Kaun and Shool in the year 1999. He released his first-ever short film, thus his appearance on the threshold of the world of directors in the year 1999, named The Last Train To Mahakali.
He wrote dialogues for movies like Paisa Vasool, Yuva, Main Aisa Hi Hoon, Mixed Doubles, etc throughout the years 2004 and 2005. He also wrote the dialogues for a Canadian movie named Water.
