Paresh tied the knot to Swaroop Sampat who is a renowned actress and has been entitled as Miss India beauty pageant in 1979. The couple is blessed with two kids, Aditya and Anirudh.

Paresh first played some minor roles in the Gujarati theatre. Then he made his first breakthrough movie in 1985 when he starred as a supporting actor in Arjun but he was able to get a quick recognition.
Then he was given the opportunity to star in a series of Doordarshan in the famous show, Bante Bigadte but however, but his first groundbreaking role came in 1986 in the chartbuster movie, Naam. His career took a giant leap and he got opportunities to be the hero of more than a hundred movies all from the 1980s to the 1990s which made him a big star.
