Michael Fred Phelps II was born in the multi-cultural family of Phelps on June 30, 1985, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was born as the youngest son to Michael Fred and Deborah Sue Phelps and he has a very warm bond with his elder siblings, Whitney and Hilary Phelps.
His father, Michael served as the State Trooper of Maryland while his mother Debbie worked as the principal of a middle school. Things took a turn for Michael when his parents were divorced when he was just a kid of nine.
