Personal Life of Jade Thirlwall
It is no secret that Jade has struggled with accepting her ethnicity. On top of it, bullying made it worse. The death of her very beloved grandfather led Jade down a spiral and triggered anorexia that lasted for five years.
Featuring in Leigh-Anne: Race, Pop & Power, she admitted to wanting cosmetic surgery, because the media (whitewashed) would heavily edit her pictures to make sure that she looked as “white” as possible.

Well, this saying holds for Jade. After 2 unsuccessful auditions in The X Factor, Jade finally managed to get through the audition round in her third attempt in 2011. However, she failed the boot camp challenge and was placed in a trio “Orion” with Pinnock.
Her future band mates Edwards, and Nelson was in a different group then. As fate would have it, none of the groups made it through. But the judges realized the potential of the four girls and put them together to form Rhythmix. From here began Jade’s journey as a singer. Guided by Tulisa Contostavlos, Little Mix created history by being the first ever group to win The X Factor.
She has worked on 6 absolutely mesmerizing albums with Little Mix. Her songwriting skills are well known, and she ended up signing with Sony/ATV as an official songwriter in 2019.
January 2021 saw Jade compete in The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off. The glamourous diva was also seen on RuPaul’s Drag Race special UK Vs The World series.
