Dan Marino tied the knot to his high school Sweetheart Claire Marino in 1985. Both Dan and Claire began their new life in Pennsylvania.

Dan Marino began his career in 1979 when he joined the University of Pittsburgh. He officially started as a quarterback for Pittsburgh Panthers Football.
Throughout his time with Pittsburgh Panthers Football, he helped the team win major wins and Championships against other state universities and in-house football matches.
After having a terrific college career with Pittsburgh Panthers Football, he was selected for the first NFL draft in 1982. Even though he was initially looked over by the selectors due to his poor performance in his senior year and his rumored substance abuse.
Fortunately, he was picked by “The Miami Dolphins”. After a bit of dilemma, Dan sealed the deal with the Dolphins.
Dan Marino debuted in the 1983 season of the NFL’s Super Bowl. The season proved to be a weak season for “The Miami Dolphins” but as a Rookie, Dan made several new records.
After getting the spirit of the Superbowl, the second season of the Super Bowl turned out to be an interesting one for Dan. He went on to become the “MVP” of that season and broke numerous records.
By his third season with “The Miami Dolphins”, he scored his 100th touchdown in the game against “San Diego”. Dan became the first player in the history of the NFL to score more than 30 touchdowns in three consecutive seasons.
Dan Marino went on to have many record Breaking moments throughout his time with the Miami Dolphins. In 1988, he became the first Player to have 28 touchdowns in a season and throw more than 4000 yards.
In 1992, “The Miami Dolphins” brought home the AFC championship trophy under the leadership of Dan Marino.
Seeing the form of the team, it was expected the team to emerge as the winner of the AFC championship in 1993 and possibly win the Super Bowl championship as well.
In the 1994 season, the team started tough by winning a game against “New England Patriots”. Dan Marino set a new record for throwing 873 yards in a game combined with the opposite team’s Quarterback.
“Miami Dolphins” secured the third position in the AFC championship and were expected to perform better and might as well win the Super Bowl championship title.
The 1995 season was going strong for the “Miami Dolphins” until Dan Marino had a serious Hip injury during the 6th week and refrained from playing.
After recovering completely, Dan returned to the field and continued playing for the “Miami Dolphins” till 2000.
In 2000, Dan Marino took retirement from playing football.
