After working in part-time jobs in his 20s and during religious studies in 1982 Jakes got placed at the Local Union Carbide and became a pastor of the Greater Emmanuel Temple of Faith, at this time Jakes was only 25.
later in 1988, he started publishing books and produced his films through his own enterprise ‘TDJ Enterprises’, Jakes has also founded a mega church in Dallas known as
