Sharpe leads a very introverted life. Though he seems to be a funny and open person, he has always kept his private life, away from the spotlight.

Unfortunately, romantic relationships of Shannon have not been very stable. During the beginning of his NFL career, Shannon dated Erika Evans. Erika also mothered his first child Kiari in 1992.
