Personal Life of Ree Drummond

Anne Marie Drummond, famously known by her pen name Ree grew up as an Episcopalian, in the city of Oklahoma.

 As soon as she finished her education she got married to Ladd Drummond on 21 September 1996. And the couple moved to Pawhuska. Ladd comes from a family of cattle ranchers, they also own the Drummond Land & Cattle Co. they also live right outside their ranch.

 The couple is also a parent of two sons, Bryce and Todd Drummond, and two daughters Alex and Paige Drummond.

To pen down her perspective and experience of ranch life Ree started writing blogs in 2006 on Typepad under the subdomain pioneerwoman.typepad.com, months later when she bought her own domain, she started writing on it. Later as she started posting detailed recipes with elaborated food photography her page got an enormous amount of readers and her career as an author began. 

She several times stated that her blogs are not just another recipe guide or cookbook, rather it’s more about her own experience of ranch life and parenting. It essentially is a part of her life too.

Inspired by her daily ranch life she first started writing blogs on the internet in 2006. A Year later as she started posting detailed recipes and food photography, her blogs started getting more and more views. 

Hosted by the Rackspace. Her website ‘thepioneerwoman.com’ has received more than 13 million views per month which increased to 23.3 million by 2011.

She owns another website named TastyKitchen.com too. Where it is more of a free public forum for readers to write their favorite recipes as well as read the others. In the process, she grew viewership among the food blogger community beside her very own dedicated readers. Launched in 2009 the website gets more than 217.5 thousand viewers per month.

Ree has written more than 15 books so far, of which only 5 are on cooking. Her children’s series is based on their family basset hound Charlie is more famous around the state. First published in 2011, there is a total of seven books available right now such as Charlie the Ranch Dog, Charlie, and the Christmas Kitty, Charlie and the New Baby, etc.
