On June 2022, Tjay was shot numerous times during a robbery in New Jersey, he was immediately taken to the hospital along with his friend Antoine Boyd who was only shot once.

After this Mohamed Konate,27 got arrested with three counts of attempted murder, and Tjay’s friend Antoine was also charged with second-degree unlawful possession of weapons with himself.
