Kim Nam-joon Personal Life
RM aka Nam-joon is the eldest son of his parents and has a younger sibling, his sister.
RM once mentioned how he had a relationship in high school. Other than this, RM has never admitted to having any girlfriends. There was a very funny rumor stating that RM’s secretly married with a kid, but all of this is false.
Interviewers, whenever they ask RM about his love life, he very tactfully answers that his busy schedule doesn’t permit him to have a girlfriend.

RM’s career technically began when he was a first-year middle school student as he used to rap in local amateur hip-hop circles. In 2008 RM had his first concert and was an active underground rapper and even released quite some tracks by collaborating with underground rappers like Zico.
After an unsuccessful audition for Big Deal Records, in 2009, RM didn’t lose hope and gave an audition for Big Hit. Rapper Sleepy played a key role in RM’s musical career as his encouraging words motivated RM to audition for Big Hit Entertainment CEO Bang Si-hyuk.
At age 16, RM secured his position in BigHit (as an idol and leader for BTS) which Bang offered without informing his parents.
RM, Suga, and J-hope trained together for three years before their debut in BTS. In June 2013, Nam-joon debuted as RM with BTS. Since then RM has produced music and written lyrics for many BTS songs. RM’s first solo after the debut was the intro track to BTS’ first extended play (EP) O!RUL8,2? Which was released in August 2013.
Intro: What Am I to You?, a rap track from BTS’ Dark & Wild album was a solo performed by RM in 2014. In 2015, With Warren G, RM collaborated and released a single named “P.D.D (Please Don’t Die)”, a track expressing his feelings towards his haters.
RM’s dream to release his mixtape was accomplished on March 17, 2015, as he released his first mixtape on this date. Soon after its release, RM’s mixtape held a position on the “50 Best Hip Hop Albums of 2015”.
RM, while still having busy schedules as a BTS member, has always managed to do some amazing collaborations which include Fantastic Four’s soundtrack(Marvel), Primary’s “U”, Change, Gajah, Champion remix, etc.

A heartwarming collaboration of RM with Tiger JK took place on JK’s last and final album as Drunken Tiger. RM was in charge of lyrics and the way he described the historical meaning of Drunken Tiger’s name was quite moving and was unexpected by JK.
