Jose Canseco Capas Jr. was born to his mother, Barbara Canseco, and father, Jose Sr., in Havana in the year 1964. His father is said to be a territory manager of a corporation while he also taught English as a part-time job.
Jose has a twin brother named Ozzie Caseco, who is also a former Major League Player.
