He and his family resided in the estate located on the outskirts of Casablanca, Morocco. There they lived the first 13 years of Karim’s life. During his stay, the young Karim was interested in soccer and rapping. He also played basketball and had a passion for it. He was well versed in French and Arabic.

Personal Life of French Montana
He married Deen Karbouch in 2009. They had a son Kruz Karbouch in 2010.They separated in 2012 and settled for divorce officially in 2014.

Around 2002. Under the stage name of Young French, the young Karim began his career as a rapper battler on the streets of Bronx. Montana was a careful planner and understands the audience well and tried to provide what they wanted to the best of his capabilities. From building a platform for other fellow rappers from the street to showcasing his talent for rapping, he won it all.
He understood the concept and popularity of street DVDs well and took up the opportunity to use it to his advantage. He with his close friend Cams teamed up to create a DVD series known as “Cocaine City”, inspired which featured young rap artists from the streets performing their music, collaborating, and mixing up different styles.
They use DVDs as a platform to showcase the talents of a rising rap star, featuring other street rap artists of the Bronx and collaborating with them. This show featured some famous and well-known artists like Pee Wee, Kirkland, and Remy Ma in the initial days.
In 2003, he took a year off to recover from the wounds he received from the gunman incident and get a well-deserved rest during this period. After recovering, he continued working in the Cocaine Days and kept adding some original works of his to it too.
