Dennis Quaid Personal Life 

Some think Dennis never thought about dating. Why would he, when he got married four times? They were sure that he didn’t know dating exist. 

Jokes apart, Dennis met the first love of his life on the sets of Our Winning Season film. Eventually, Dennis and P. J. Soles got married in 1978. Dennis who had a long way to go ended the relationship in 1983.

Dennis’s second marriage though ended but this time Dennis was serious. Both Dennis and Meg Ryan got married on valentine’s Eve. Unfortunately, they divorced each other in 2001. Dennis was serious as both he had a child, Jack Henry Quaid. 

To everyone’s surprise, Dennis eventually gets to know about dating. He dated Shanna Moakler but not so long. Quaid married Kimberly Buffington who was a rich real estate agent. 

Dennis and Kimberly had twins via surrogacy. But to his fate, one of the twins was injected with the wrong dosage of heparin. Which was 1,000 times the normal dosage. By God’s grace, the child was out of danger. It was certain that Dennis was really upset. Which eventually led him to file a lawsuit against the hospital. 

Dennis this move changed many things in America. Documentaries were made about this tragic incident. In essence, healthcare safety measures are improved. Dennis is also a hero in real life. 

The divorce between Dennis and Kimberly is way different from earlier ones. Both decide to part ways in April 2012. Surprisingly, they wanted to give their relationship more time. For that, they moved to California. After many attempts to join the links, they failed in the end. They applied for divorce in November 2012. Again, they wanted to sort things. But failed, which eventually led to a true divorce in 2018. Where Dennis paid a hefty amount to his spouse. 

Finally, Dennis understood what dating means. He started to date Laura Savoie and married her in 2020. Though they were engaged back in 2019. But due to the outbreak of COVID-19, they had to extend the date to June 2020.

Dennis knew that his graduation from the University of Houston won’t help him. As he wanted to be an actor. To pursue his acting career, he left the University of Houston and went after Hollywood.

Dennis got popular through his appearance in Breaking Away. This film was also critically acclaimed and praised. Then in The Right Stuff when he was offered the role of an astronaut, Gordon Cooper. From his role in The Right Stuff, Dennis was top of the town. 

Unfortunately, Dennis faced failure too. Dennis’s 1990s were not in his favor. As the actor had to deal with anorexia nervosa. He was also into cocaine addiction. Though Dennis’s career was a roller coaster, he appeared in famous series like Muppets Tonight. In that, he was offered a guest role in one of its episodes. Everything That Rises was the first television film where Dennis was appointed as a debut film director.
