David has had tough luck when it came to relationships. Though his past relationships proved to be disastrous, he is trying his best to make it work this time.
David developed a romantic relationship with his fellow college mate Michelle Cook. Letterman was yet to get a stable job but they supported each other. Unfortunately, they split up in 1977.
In the meantime, Letterman had joined “Late Night”. He tried his chance with producer and scriptwriter Merrill Markoe. Charging David for cheating on her, Merill cut all ties with him.
Shortly after his breakup with Merill, Letterman started dating Regina Lasko. After 19 years of being together, Lasko gave birth to their child Harry in 2003.
David and Regina got married in 2009 and are living a happy life, with a star-studded career and a caring son.
