His siblings’ names are Dean, Dynelle, and Dyonne. His father possesses Norwegian ancestry while his mother has mixed Swedish and German ancestry.

He and his siblings were raised with Christian beliefs and were taught the importance of love, compassion, and kindness. The four siblings and their parents were very close and shared a great relationship. They used to dine together every night and share their daily happenings at the dining table every night. On the weekends, the family of six will gather around the drawing-room to watch ‘The Wonderful World of Disney’ together.

The Disney arts fostered a sense of love and passion for arts and animation in young David’s heart and mind. He used to wake up early every Friday morning to watch cartoons on TV with a cereal bowl in his hand. These animated cartoons fostered his growing desire for art with each passing day.

He attended Wayzata High School and was often bullied there as he didn’t have anyone to protect him. These days were one of the hardest days of his life but he persisted there because of the love and support from his family.

Being the youngest lad in the family, David was well-loved and pampered by both his siblings and parents. They protected him from bullying in school and encouraged his artistic talents to bloom.

His father had seen his artistic talents when he was young and had put efforts into enrolling him in the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, a school that is closely associated with Disney. This college was very expensive for the small Minnesotan lad to pay for but they somehow managed to pay for his education.
