Darius Rucker is married to Beth Leonard, they were married for 20 years and in the year 2020 they separated and called this a Conscious decoupling.
They have 2 kids, Daniella and Jack.
In 1995, Darius and his girlfriend Elizabeth Ann Phillips had their firstborn, Carolyn Pearl Phillips.

Darius started his career in 1986, he formed a band ‘Hootie $ the Blowfish which in the present day is known to be one of the most successful bands.
He and Mark Bryan formed the band while they were at the University Of South Carolina, as Darius says it was Bryan who made him an actual singer out of a bathroom singer.
Later in 1989, this already-started band was joined by Dean Felber and Jean Sonfled.
They’ve recorded numerous hits such as ‘Musical Chairs’, ‘Fairweather Johnson’, ‘Scattered, Smothered & Covered’ etc, these were some songs that charted the Billboard Hot 100 six times! one of all time Darius’s signature contributions to the band is his baritone voice.
Hootie & Blowfish after 9 years gained infinite attention, In 1995 Darius as the front and lead singer began signing other contracts and officially gave a name to their fans and that was “Hootie”.
Due to his immense popularity and explicit voice tone, he was asked to sing the national anthem at World Series, and sang a cameo at the hit sitcom ‘Friends’, later he joined Nanci Griffith on her album Gulf Coat Highway’ and on the album ‘Blue’.
Darius continued to sing a country song and his band stopped producing music in 2009 to which he said “when we don’t know but we’ll come back surely”, after 10 years, in 2019 the band released an album again.
