Personal Life of Jeff Bezos
Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on January 12, 1964, to Jacklyn Gise and Theodore Jorgensen.
His parents were in their teens when they welcomed Jeff home and faced a lot of challenges while raising him. Despite those challenges, they managed to graduate from high school with a degree. His biological father had Danish ancestry.
His biological parents divorced when he was an infant. His mother married a Cuban refugee Miguel “Mike” Bezos, his stepfather in April 1968. He adopted young Jeff and legally changed his surname to Bezos.
Jeff met MacKenzie Tuttle, a budding novelist at Manhattan in 1992, and married her a year later.
They moved to Seattle, Washington in 1994. They had three sons and adopted one daughter from China during their marriage years.
Later the couple separated in 2019 after 25 years of marriage, which was one of the most expensive divorces currently. He has been dating Lauren Sánchez since 2019.

While he was in high school, he took the role of cook and dishwasher in McDonald’s during the summer to earn money to pay his own bills.
After graduating from college in 1986, he worked at Fitel, a fintech telecommunications start-up. He was in charge of building a network for international trades and was promoted to positions like head of development and director of customer service.
In 1988, his career witnessed a change from service to the banking industry by joining as a product manager at Bankers Trust and working there till 1990.
Later he got a job offer at D.E. Shaw & Co. in 1990 and joined it. Bezos rose to the ranks of becoming D. E. Shaw’s fourth senior vice-president at age 30 during his years of service.
During his tenure as the senior vice-president position, Bezos was in charge of looking over the investment possibilities of the Internet and noticed its enormous potential. It fuelled his entrepreneurial imagination and he quit his job in 1994 and moved back to Seattle.
He started Amazon as a virtual bookstore from his garage and developed the software for the site.

Later in 1998, they began to add CDs and videos. In 1999, Bezos invested in other virtual stores while inspiring others to establish their own online stores on Amazon and expand their market.
As the demand for Internet dollars rose, Bezos observed the need for diversification.
Around 2005, Amazon witnessed providing a vast inventory of products which includes consumer electronics, apparel, and hardware other than books and electronics.
Amazon launched Amazon Web Services (AWS), a cloud computing service that is now the largest Web service in the world in 2006 and increased the job opportunity in these fields.
In late 2007, Amazon released Amazon Kindle, a digital book reader which begins a transition of the way a reader reads. It provided features like wireless Internet connectivity, allowing customers to purchase, download or sell various books.
