Age, Early Life & Biography of George Lopez
Being born and brought up in a working-class family in Los Angeles, he had seen his family working hard from putting three meals on the table to providing a roof over the head. He was taught to be grateful and value the things provided to him.
His parents worked in a nearby factory and he was left with his maternal grandma and her second husband to raise the little boy. His father Anatasio Lopez was an immigrant worker of Mexican descent and her mother Frieda was a localite of Los Angeles whose occupation was of a manager in a small manufacturing company.
His parents, who have faced the harsh reality of life, didn’t dare to raise him and abandoned him at an early age. It was his grandmother who took the responsibility to educate the young George on the values and virtues that he needs to be instilled within him whilst growing up.
Growing up, he was not the brightest kid in the room whom you wanted to befriend. But none ever thought that the dullest kid in class instead of being burdened and sad about his situation, he sided with the humor and joy that life has offered him. Coupled with encouragement and love from his grandparents, he graduated from San Fernando High School in 1979.
